Work Credits –
The “Work Credits” requirement at Eldora Mountain Ski and Snowboard Club can be seen as somewhat of a mystery; but it is our hope that they won’t be after you read this page. Without the help of parents and volunteers, we would not be able to operate our programs at the same high level that exists today.
Races hosted at Eldora, The annual Sample Sale, and other events that take place throughout the year would not be possible without the dedicated efforts of our many volunteers. We also utilize Certified USSA Volunteers to help provide programs that are instructive, fun, and safe.
Simply put – Work Credits are a system of tracking volunteer days that offset a financial commitment. The Work Credits program requires parents to provide a check or credit card at the beginning of the season that can be “worked off” by volunteering. If you volunteer to gain enough Work Credit Points then the funds are not processed.
The club’s survival is dependent upon volunteers. In order to help ensure that the club receives the required volunteer support, a work deposit check or credit card is collected annually from each family at the time of registration. LERT requires all members to support the club through a minimum number of volunteer hours or pay a fee for the hours not worked. Many families exceed the number of hours required, which is greatly appreciated! Volunteers must sign up prior to the event in order to get credit for the hours worked. It is first come, first serve for the events you want to volunteer for.
To encourage participation by all members, a work credit deposit is collected (checks should be dated May 1, 2023) at the beginning of the season. Each credit you earn is applied against your deposit. Your deposit will be returned (un-cashed) only if you complete ALL YOUR WORK CREDITS and meet the fundraising requirement by April 30, 2023. Otherwise the funds are processed after May 1, 2023 and a refund for the work credits you earned is sent back to you.
All volunteers should keep their own log of work credits earned. Volunteers will receive a receipt for each day of work.
If you have a specific question about work credits earned please email info@lertprograms.com.
If you have a specific question about work credits earned please email Trish Klomhaus trish@lertprograms.com.
A Work Credit Check (Dated May, 1, 2023) or a Credit Card on file must be submitted to the office by November 1st for all Programs.
Checks may be turned in at Orientation or mailed to:
EMSC 1750-1 30th St. #431, Boulder, CO 80301
Or you may call the office (303) 447-8014 to put a credit card on file.
Each family is assigned a number of work credits listed below. Credit is earned by volunteering with club activities throughout the season.
