Snowboard Carve Program
The Alpine Snowboard Carve Program is a season long (Nov – April) competitive program that focuses specifically on slalom and giant slalom training and race events. Athletes compete within the USASA Colorado race series on weekends, culminating with Nationals at Copper in April (Slalom / Giant Slalom).
Athletes will build fundamental “carving” based skills and apply to weekend training sessions on Chute and upper mountain drills at Eldora. Prospective athletes need to be able to competently ride all blue/black terrain at Eldora. Previous racing experience is not required. Athletes will utilize weekend video session analysis, along with Chute training to maximize mileage within the slalom and giant slalom training courses. Small group coaching format is designed to provide specific feedback for athlete development. The Alpine Snowboard Carve Program ranks among the top program within Colorado, and across the country, historically placing team members on the podium at Nationals and series races.
