Programs : Alpine Skiing – Jr. Race
The EMSC Junior Race Program is an exciting and educational skiing experience for 7 to 12 year olds.
The program focuses on building fundamental skiing skills in a FUN environment. EMSC is one of the best junior racing programs in the Rocky Mountains.
The Junior Racing Team is a twelve (12) week Saturday program for 7 to 12 year olds, who are "all-mountain" skiers and snowboarders that show interest in learning to race. The focus shifts from developing free-skiing/riding and balance skills to racing and gate training. You'll be amazed at the improvement your child will make.
EMSC Jr. Race team athletes will also be provided the opportunity to compete in the Rocky Mountain Division, Youth Ski League (YSL) races. These races are designed for youth's ages 7 to 12, and provide a fun introduction to the sport of ski racing. The EMSC Jr. Race team will participate approximately 6 YSL races during the season.
EMSC Jr. Racers will have the added benefit and option of training alternate Sundays for increased training, mileage, gates and FUN! Alternate Sunday Jr. Race training will be provided through our "Crossover" program and will utilize parallel training with the EMSC J4/5 Age Class program for gates, drills and technique development.
