Programs : Alpine Skiing – Core

EMSC core racers are classified into two racing groups: Age Class and Ability.

 

Ability Ages:

  • J1: 17 & 18 years
  • J2: 15 & 16 years
The Ability Program is designed to challenge the experienced athlete, further reinfining technique and tactics necessary for upper level competition at Regional, National and International venues.

Ability athletes must maintain a B average with no failing classes, otherwise training privileges will be suspended until grades are improved.

Note: Age is calculated by how old the athlete is before or on December 31st, of the current season.

14 years and younger fall into our Age Class Program.

 

Age Class Ages:

  • J3: 13 & 14 years
  • J4: 11 & 12years
  • J5: 9 & 10 years
The Age Class Program is designed to build upon fundamtals necessary for a solid future of ski and snowboard racing. The primary focus of the program is motor skill mastery and athlete development within the areas of Slalom, Giant Slalom and All - Mountain Skiing. Speed ski elements and competition are also introduced through Super G (SG), and Downhill (DH)
