Skiing is what brought me to Colorado. I was a ski instructor and race coach at Beaver Creek for about 7 years. Prior to Beaver Creek, I taught Children to ski in Oregon at Timberline on Mt. Hood. I also worked at the summer race camps on the glacier on Mt. Hood. These chapters of my life were priceless. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had these experiences.

One of the biggest gifts I received from teaching skiing, was a deep desire to get my masters degree in elementary education. So, I packed my bags and moved to Boulder to pursue my dream. I received my Masters at CU, in Elementary Teaching with an emphasis in Literacy. I taught Kindergarten and First Grade in Boulder Valley School District for about 11 years before taking a leave after my 2nd child was born. I am presently getting back into teaching in Boulder. The bottom line is I love to teach but more importantly I love to learn. I learn from my two children and the children I work with daily….

I began my EMSC coaching experience in 2015-2016. I loved it! Coaching was my favorite part to my week. Integrating what I know from teaching kids in school and weaving that with my vast experiences of teaching skiing, filled me. I am very much looking forward to another season with EMSC.
