A Message from Matt – January 2024

LERT Families and Athletes,

January is certainly making up for both snow and cold weather temperatures!  The conditions at the mountain are absolutely amazing, and the skiing/riding is the best it has been in years!  Our coaches are coming off a highly productive Holiday Camp, and it has been great to see the Freeride/Devo/Big Mountain staff continue to work the progression in the park and now, much welcomed steeper terrain. 

Weekday Lights on Chute training is back in session, after having to cancel several sessions due to high winds and weather.  We are ramping up for a series of races on Labelle, which serves as an outstanding opportunity for ALL groups to earn work credits!!  We need help with venues, slipping courses, early loads and more.  Sign up here to volunteer. Huge kudos to the many parents who have been stepping up to the plate to help out with our training venues, and working the Bnet zones during our heavy storms.

As we begin traveling around the state, let’s continue to keep the EMSC Team momentum high!  We have EMSC sweatshirts for sale online (click here and look under Other Purchases/Payments), and available for pickup at the clubhouse.  Wishing all of the athletes, from Slopestyle, to Big Mountain, YSL on up to FIS, a successful season of competitions ahead!
