U18 Ability Program

• Description: The U18 ability program will offer athletes the option for  weekend and weekday training on snow and dryland. The training program works specifically with athletes committed and dedicated to the sport of alpine ski racing. U18 athletes at EMSC have an incredible  and unique opportunity where they get to ski and train in conjunction with the University of Colorado NCAA Division I National Championship Ski Team.
  • U-18 athletes will develop skills to help them reach their fullest potential in ski racing/life including physical conditioning, technical and tactical development, race preparation, goal setting, and much more.
  • Athletes participate in the U.S. Ski & Snowboard and FIS level competitions in the Rocky/Central Region and may include out of division racing as qualified. This program includes up to 4-6 days a week on snow, depending on the periodization of the race calendar.
  • The U18 program serves as a stepping stone to continued success after high school, which may include further development in a competitive Post Graduate (PG) Program at EMSC, as well as the potential ability to ski at the levels of the US Ski Team,  NCAA, USCSA, World Pro Ski Tour, or other recreational events throughout the country.

• Dryland Dates: August-May
• On Snow Dates: October-April 
• May Camp Dates: TBA (usually first two weekends in may Friday-Sunday)
• Summer Ski Camp: TBA (usually early June for 10 days)- not included in Core program fees
• Ski Pass Information: Eldora Mountain is on the IKON pass, therefore the IKON pass is a great option since the majority of our training will take place at Eldora. The U-18 program races throughout Colorado, therefore it’s a good idea to look at the other bundled options as well.
