U10/U12 Age Class Program

The U10/U12 Age Class program (athletes ages 8-11) is designed for the committed athlete and family looking to progress from the Youth Ski League (YSL) also known as Jr Race program to the Age Class training/competition program.

Athletes will train one to four days per week on snow and spend more time free skiing the mountain in a variety of terrain to further their fundamental skill sets, gate training, and drill courses. U10/U12 athletes are encouraged to have a minimum of a season of experience with the YSL program (or comparable), and further meet with YSL Director, Eric Vogel for an athlete/family interview to ensure proper programming.

Participation in the dryland program is encouraged in order to establish a base of fitness to help athletes minimize injury risk, learn the basics of fitness, and ski their best. Those playing fall sports are encouraged to do so and their dryland plan can be adapted.

Athletes that participate in 2 day programming with Add-On Lights on Chute  set an excellent platform for continued success and transition into a future U14 Age Class program and Ability programs.

Athletes participate in the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Rocky Mountain Division competitions, including select Age Class competitions and Championship events. 

This program trains on snow most Saturdays/Sundays from 7:30am to 2:00pm, with the option to add on Tuesday/Thursday afternoon training through Lights on Chute.

• Price – $80 – Oct. $40 Nov.
• Times: 7:30am – 2:00pm
• On Snow Dates: November 2023-April 2024- As soon as snow falls!
• May Camps: TBA (usually first two weekends in may Friday-Sunday)- not included in program fees
• Ski Pass Information: Eldora Mountain is on the IKON pass, therefore the IKON pass is a great option, since the majority of our training will take place at Eldora. The U-10/12 program races throughout Colorado, therefore it’s a good idea to look at the other bundled options as well.
