Programs Overview

SKIING

Devo All-Mountain

Our Devo All Mountain Program gives athletes a diverse all mountain experience with the focus of building skiing fundamentals through basic race training along with exposure to Big Mountain, Skier Cross, and Terrain Park fundamentals. The exposure to all of the above allows athletes to experience many avenues in the sport without specializing in one area. Athletes will also have an optional competition schedule to be determined by the coach and athlete. This program is for athletes aged 8-15 who are confident riders on all trails on the mountain.

Freeride/Freestyle

The EMSC Freeride/Freestyle program offers diverse programming that covers all disciplines of freeriding: slopestyle, big air, skiercross, and big mountain.  This is an entry level program into the world of competitive freeriding, but all athletes should be competent all-mountain riders.  This program is for athletes 9-18 they have a solid foundation of skiing or snowboarding.  Our team of proficient coaches help athletes expand their skills through on snow and dryland training.

Jr Race (USSA YSL Race Series)

This program is an excellent introduction to competitive skiing that focuses primarily on developing solid fundamental skiing skills and introducing young athletes to the competition routine and environment.

Athletes who have achieved competency in their skiing fundamentals and have the necessary maturity, confidence, independence and desire to commit to ski racing at a higher level should consider transitioning to the Core Program.

Age-Class Series – U10, U12, U14, U16

The EMSC Age-Class Program builds on the foundation established by the Jr. Race program. The Age-Class race series is the highest level of competition for athletes up to 15 years old. Our program staff are USSA certified coaches, most of whom have experience competing at the FIS level, the highest level competition in the sport. Athletes in this program are expected to train with greater intensity and focus, which are required for success at the Age-Class level.  This includes pre-season and post season on snow and dryland training.
