Jonathan began riding as a teen near his home in Easton, PA. Lacking an Alpine Snowboard team, he trained with skiers at Alpine Mountain and eventually began to win against them in races. He moved to CO to train and compete in the Rocky Mountain Snowboard Series (now USASA) and progressed to FIS (International Ski Federation) He has competed in two Olympic trials. In the late 90’s he stopped competing and turned to coaching. We are fortunate to have had his experience at EMSC for many, many years, nearly since the early days of our program. Today he coaches racers from age 5 all the way up to over 70. He currently has snowboard racers competing in USASA, Junior Worlds, World Games, Special Olympics, FIS, Noram and the World Cup.
